Designed by Chris Chun for the UK National Tour 2013 Parade. Kiku is based off a painting which was inspired by an antique kimono fabric brought in Japan. Kimono fabrics are rich in colours, decorative embellishments and dramatic layout of patterns. The butterflies featured in the design symbolise hope and freedom. The design is the artist's way of wishing for elephants to be able to live in a safe and protected environment.
